Pastors sacrifice more than their people know and love more than they have time to show.
Rodney is a very caring and thoughtful pastor who really listens - I mean really listens - to what is being said before he responds. His response will be measured to bring help and encouragement to the other person and glorifies God.
As a pastor going through a challenging transition, Rodney's humble coaching and counsel have been a breath of fresh air for my soul.
Ask your pastor! That way you can express your appreciation personally. Or better yet, print and give your pastor the Pastor's Appreciation Month Gift Certificate we'll send you in your confirmation email. I'll email your pastor at the address you give me as soon as you click the pay button. I'll tell the good news about the gifts and show him how to calendar a time to meet.
I'll email you after you purchase the gift. I'd like you to reply to that email and give me your pastor's name and email address. And that's it. I'll reach out to your pastor with a personal email and we'll schedule the appointment. .
Sure! What a great idea. Get as many people as you want in on the deal. We can only process one credit card, so you'll have to trust your folks to pay you back, but it's probably worth the risk.
Nope. But that's a great question. It would be inappropriate to gift a therapy session for your pastor. Therapists focus on different issues and outcomes than a coach, namely healing what is hurt and fixing what is broken. As a Christian pastor-coach, I'll guide your pastor to explore, grow, and make decisions around whatever topic or challenge your pastor chooses. It's fun and invigorating, often exactly what a pastor needs for moving forward.
Absolutely. All you have to do is tell me not to tell your pastor about you. However, your pastor might be suspicious if they don't know who gave them a coaching gift. We pastors aren't always secure and confident. I'd encourage you to explain you gave this gift because you know your pastor values learning, growth, and self-development. Plus, it's better than a coffee mug.
That's the beauty of it. As pastors, we often long for someone outside our circle to listen and guide us. Especially, someone who knows the ins and outs of pastoring. Your pastor will have a safe place, and that's invaluable.
You don't really. But this is what I do. I've pastored for a long time and coached for even longer. If your pastor comes willing to focus on any issue, we'll make progress. At a minimum, it'll be encouraging and refreshing. But if your pastor wants to dig in, I can help with clarity on a big decision, investigate limiting beliefs, and share a few tips or skills to better navigate issues. Your pastor will remember God's value of them, the nobility of ministry, and that you cared enough to give them a growth experience.
Head over to rodneycombs.com and see what's there. I value transparency, so I'm against posing or pitching. If you have a specific question or if you need my help with anything, email me at [email protected].
Most pastors understand the value of a coaching session and are eager to prioritize it. The calendar will be open for October and November, so we can find a time. I'll reach out personally and give your pastor a chance to know me. We'll do all we can to make it happen. If for any reason your pastor rejects the session, I'll get your money back to you, no worries. The point is to be a positive resource for your pastor.
